Cryptid Crate Junior March 2025

Our Junior crate this month features the Mapinguari of Brazil.

They are thought of as protectors of the Amazon forest and the animals that dwell there. It’s also said that it once was a human shaman who discovered the trick to becoming immortal and this angered the gods who punished him by turning him into this creature. The creature resembles a ground sloth but its defining features are a single eye and a mouth in the belly.
